Common Questions

Will my employer accept this sick note? +
Yes. All certificates are signed by our GMC-registered GP, a licensed UK doctor. They comply with UK employment law and are accepted by the vast majority of employers and universities.
How long does it take to receive my note? +
The Standard plan delivers within 24 hours, and the Ultra Fast plan within 4 hours. If the doctor needs to contact you for clarification, it may take slightly longer — so please provide as much detail as possible in your questionnaire.
Can you backdate a sick note? +
No. We are only able to issue sick notes for an ongoing illness. We cannot backdate certificates for an illness you have already recovered from.
What is the maximum sick leave period? +
Sick leave is limited to a maximum of 14 days from the start date per illness event. We can issue a maximum of two certificates within any 30-day period, and no more than one illness event per 6-month period.
What if my request is declined? +
A sick note is only issued if the doctor deems it clinically appropriate. If your request is declined, you will be notified by email. Fees are non-refundable as payment covers the doctor's clinical review time — just as a GP appointment fee would.
Is my medical information kept private? +
Absolutely. All data is encrypted using 256-bit SSL and processed in full compliance with UK GDPR regulations. Your information is never shared with third parties.
Can I make changes to my certificate after it's issued? +
Please double-check all your details before submitting. If you need corrections after the certificate is issued, an amendment fee of £9.99 applies.
